They are most popular due to proximity to the Belize Barrier Reef and Belize City. San Pedro Town is roughly an hour by boat or a 15-minute flight. Caye Caulker is roughly 45 minutes by boat or a 10-minute flight. These cayes are the perfect base for scuba divers and snorkelers as the Belize Barrier Reef is a few feet away. The Belize Barrier Reef, spanning 180 miles, offers unparalleled snorkeling and diving experiences .
