In particular, for fly fishing, it can be most exciting from March through to August when the Tarpon, Bonefish and Permit are migrating. Try your hand at catching tarpon weighing up to 100 lb – 180 lbs. Belize is also one of the few places in the world you can catch a “Grand Slam”- catching all three (Tarpon, Permit and Bonefish) in one day. Belize’s sandy flats, mangroves and river mouths are popular hangout spots for these fish. Travelling great distance to have the opportunity to get a "Grand Slam" is defiantly worth it. Fishing doesn’t have to end there, head offshore in a quest for Wahoo, Dorado, Black Fin Tuna, King Mackerel and with some luck even a Blue Marlin!
