The electrical system in Belize is the same as in the U.S 110 volts/60 cycles.
Time Zone
Belize is on GMT-6, or U.S. Central Standard Time.
Official Language
English is the official language of Belize. It is the only Central American Country with the official language being English. When here you will also hear locals speaking Kriol- an English dialect.
Weather
Belize has subtropical climate making it a perfect destination all year round with an average temperature of 29°C (84°F). Rainy Season is from June – December whilst Dry Season is from February to May. Whilst there is significantly less rainfall in Dry Season, don’t let the thought of rain put you off from coming in the rainy season months as the rain tends to be in short bursts and the sun comes out shortly after.
Currency
The Belize dollar is the officially currency of Belize and is set to the US dollar, $2BZ = $1 USD. International credit cards are widely accepted, with some small businesses requiring cash only. Nevertheless, ATM’s can be found throughout the country in popular tourist areas.
